 Between 1979 and 1995, I tried to make the practice of law work for me on three different continents, in different-sized law firms, but I still felt as if I were in jail doing a life sentence. I made a lot of money, but I spent a lot of money too -- to compensate for the fact I never had enough time to relax and catch up with myself.
